Mission and Values

Our mission is to help provide a Thanksgiving meal to those less fortunate in the Southeastern Wisconsin area. The Turkey Club engages our membership, volunteers and sponsors in an effort to raise money for the purchase and delivery of as many turkeys as donations allow during the Thanksgiving season.

"The average age of a homeless person in the United States is nine years old."

Overview

The Turkey Club was founded in 1978 for the sole purpose of raising funds for the purchase and delivery of turkeys at the Thanksgiving holiday. All turkeys are given to food pantries and meal programs in the six county area of: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Dodge, Jefferson, Ozaukee and Washington. In 2016, The Turkey Club delivered 1800 turkeys to over 37 pantries and food shelters carefully selected in a joint effort with the Hunger Task Force of Wisconsin.

The Turkey Club is a non-profit 501C3 organization; tax ID #39-1802971. Our annual fundraising activities include: cash donations, corporate grants, two bowling tournaments, a golf outing, a Brewer baseball outing, and our main raffle event held in November. The Turkey Club's operating expenses are kept at a minimum, with all the work being done on a volunteer-only basis.
